Ladies! Whether you have a Valentine or not do not, I repeat do not, forget about your girlfriends! Leslie Knope taught us everything we needed to know about having a Galentine’s celebration! And we would not want to disappoint her! Galentine’s is about celebrating with your besties and just having a good old fashioned girls night. Here are some Galentine’s essentials you’ll be needing – a meeting place, food, gifts and your girls.
A Meeting Place / Food:
Depending on when you decide to celebrate (Galentine’s Day is officially February 13th) there is one thing you absolutely need – food! Hit up a happy hour or have a nice brunch with your girls. Let the mimosas or margs and the carbs flow free. My girlfriends and I are big fans of the Tex-mex happy hour at Chuy’s!
If you’re not in the mood to go out have some girls over for a nice wine and cheese night with a chick flick. Dress up or chill in your sweatpants. This is about hanging out with your girls!
Gifts:
Get a little something for your girls. Just pick up a little something to let them know you care. Look for small candles, bath bombs or picture frames for a few ideas. Chocolate is always a good idea, always!
The low dollar section at Target is a great place to look for little things to give. I got a great scented candle and a trinket bowl for my girls at Target, plus a little chocolate sampler. It’s not Galentine’s without chocolate!
Your Girls:
Get your besties together! Ask your best girlfriends whether it’s one or thirteen other ladies for one night of absolute girl time. Get together and celebrate each other! Celebrate your friendship and celebrate what strong wonderful women you are. Just remember to have fun and be safe out there!
