We’re getting married tomorrow!! I can’t believe it! It took so long and came so fast all at the same time. Well I got this idea for a pre-wedding Q&A from Southern Pearls & Curls, you can read hers here, and I thought it would be fun to do one with Ryan also.
Here we go!
Q: How did you meet?
Brittney: Ryan and I met at the annual Relay for Life at Baylor University. We had mutual friends who were dating at the time and we all met up at the event. The next night Ryan invited me to a party and we started dating a few days later.
Ryan: We meet our freshman year at Baylor – we lived in the same dorm. A mutual friend introduced us.
Q: When did you first know you were in love?
Brittney: I think it was a process for me. I didn’t have this big revelation moment. I did have a friend tell me “You can just tell by the way he looks at you that he loves you!” And I think from then on I noticed what love was and was very accepting of it. So from the moment someone pointed it out I knew that what I was feeling was love.
Ryan: About 4 months in. I think distance played a role in it too.
Q: What is your favorite characteristic about the other?
Brittney: Ryan is a genuinely good person. He always put other people’s feelings and needs before his own. He truly cares about people and the relationships that he was with them.
Ryan: She is one of the kindest people I have ever met.
Q: What is your favorite memory together?
Brittney: My favorite memory with Ryan is probably the night he gave me a necklace that had “Together Forever” engraved on it. He had come down to visit for the weekend because he was doing a semester in Dallas and he took me out to a very nice dinner. After dinner he took me to the Suspension Bridge in Waco. We were looking out on the water when he handed me a small jewelry box. I wore that necklace almost everyday for probably the next four years.
Ryan: When I first met her.
Q: How did you celebrate your bachelor/bachelorette parties?
Brittney: My girlfriends took me to brunch, a burlesque dance class and a night on the town in Dallas!
Ryan: I went to Austin with five of my best friends for a weekend.
Q: What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
Brittney: I loved picking out my wedding dress!
Ryan: Tasting all the food.
Q: What part of the wedding day are you looking forward to the most?
Brittney: I’m really looking forward to our first look and having that very special moment with Ryan.
Ryan: Saying “I do”
Q: What part of the wedding day are you most nervous for?
Brittney: I’m nervous that I’m going to be crying and I won’t be able to get through my vows. And tripping.
Ryan: Dressing up and messing up the tux.
Q: What are you looking forward to about being married?
Brittney: I’m really looking forward to calling Ryan my husband and to start our life in our first home.
Ryan: Seeing her every day and getting to plan our schedules together.
