If you can’t tell by now I am a very proud Baylor University Alum. I literally bleed green and gold. I was lucky enough to attend homecoming again this year and I wanted to share why that is so important to me.
Homecoming, which Baylor invented by the way, is a tradition-filled weekend. Bonfires, pep rallies, the largest collegiate parade filled with floats and community organizations and of course the football game are the highlights. But it’s about so much more than those things. It’s about reconnecting to the University and people you haven’t seen in years. It’s about remembering why you chose to go to Baylor. It’s about showing support for something that is a huge part of your life.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the bonfire and the football game, but going back and seeing that you are part of something so much bigger than yourself is the real main event.
Can’t wait to come home again next year, Sic’em Bears!
